Scheepsfolk

Scheepsfolk is an old Dutch word and
it means shipcrew.
The maritime folkband performs
regurarly at folk festivals and nautical
events in many countries.
The enthusiastic crew, full of energy,
accompanies themselves with
accordion, guitar, banjo, squeezebox,
harmonica, mandoline, cajon,
candrum and uprightbass.
They also write their own music.
Scheepsfolk sings seasongs in English,
Dutch and French and ballads and
whipping scottishes or swirling polkas
also can be heard.
The musical influences come from all
over Europe and also there you can
hear reggae, Cajun, Americana, blues,
and skiffle influences, making
Scheepsfolk has developed his own
unique style.
And .... you always taste the salty
flavour of folk!

Scheepsfolk est un groupe folk marin
avec un son unique.
Le groupe produit pendant des
festivals du Folk et des événements
nautiques dans beaucoup de pays.
L'équipage enthousiaste, quatre au
total, se accompagnée à l'accordéon,
guitare, banjo, accordéon diatonique,
cajón, candrum, mandoline, planche
à laver, kazoo, harmonica et la basse.
Ils écrivent leur propre musique et
chantent en anglais, néerlandais et
français des seasongs mais aussi des
ballades.
Les influences musicales viennent de
toute l'Europe et on peut écouter
aussi les influences de skiffle, Cajun,
reggae, blues et Americana, ce qui
rend que Scheepsfolk a développé
son propre style unique.
Et .... vous goûtez toujours le goût
salé de la musique !

Die Gruppe spielt und singt
regelmäßig während Folkfestivals und
nautische Veranstaltungen in vielen
Ländern.
Die begeisterte Crew, insgesamt vier,
begleitet sich selbst mit Gitarre,
Banjo, Akkordeon, Squeezebox,
Kazoo, Cajon, Mundharmonika,
Candrum, Waschbrett, Mandoline
und Bass.
Sie singen herzhaftes Englisch,
Niederländisch und Französische
seasongs, sondern auch
einfühlsamen Balladen.
Die musikalischen Einflüsse kommen
aus ganz Europa und es gibt auch
cajun, reggae, blues, Americana und
Skiffle Einflüsse, Scheepsfolk hat
damit seine eigenen einzigartigen Stil
entwickelt.
Und .... immer ist den Geschmack der
salzigen Folkmusik da!
